Who else loves the Benjamin Moore Historical Color Collection?

There are so many wonderful colors in this collection that can work well in every style and age of home.

From a home built in 1900 to one built in 2020, these colors don’t become dated with time!

When planning our "Pop The Top" home build project, I knew I wanted to focus on using all classic colors from the Benjamin Moore Historical Collection to create the paint color scheme because of the style of the home and overall feel of the charming neighborhood.

Luckily, it was easy to do, and the outcome was absolutely lovely!

Colors Used From The Benjamin Moore Historical Collection:

Choosing A Color Scheme From The Benjamin Moore Historical Collection:

I started with my main color selection for the house, the one that would be throughout the main living spaces. I selected the Stonington Gray (HC-170) for it’s soft gray color that plays well with other grays, offers enough contrast to white, and also can change somewhat in the light to keep the look interesting while still being cohesive.

Then I selected the bold accent colors of the Kendall Charcoal (HC-166) and Hale Navy (HC-154) that would play well with the tones of the main color and add drama next to the crisp white woodwork throughout the space.

For the bathrooms I selected a lighter, but still complementary color to the main color choice. For a spa-like feel, the Wickham Gray (HC-171) fit the bill perfectly.

I found that choosing a color scheme for whole house paint was easier when selecting within this collection because they really do work very well together, especially the ones within the same color families. As you’ll see below, the classic colors paired perfectly in this new build!
